Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) is the constituent laboratory of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) situated at Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, a bustling 400 year old metropolis with an urban population of 4.2 million people approximately.

CCMB is located at the Habsiguda Cross Roads on the road leading to Uppal. Other two CSIR labs, viz. Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) and National Geophysical Research Laboratory (NGRI) are on the either side of CCMB. Apart from this extension centres of National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) and Central Food Technology Research Institute (CFTRI) are in the close vicinity of CCMB.

CCMB is about 7 Kms from Secunderabad Railway Station and about 9 Kms from Hyderabad (Nampally) Railway Station of the South Central Railway. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad is about 8 Kms away from CCMB. The city buses (APSRTC) which are plying through CCMB from Secunderabad and Hyderabad Railway Station are 18, 90D, 245, 250, 280, 281, 86/90, 90/277 and 136 respectively.
