Awareness
of people towards cancer and other disease conditions has increased in
the recent past. Alongside of it is the progress in diagnostics of various
diseases. Also there has been a steady progress in our understanding of
the basic molecular mechanisms that regulate normal cell functions. There
is a time lag for implementation of the advances in basic research in
the clinics. This conference on Translational Research to Bench
to Bed ( B2B -2K5 ) is
thought of to bridge the gap and bring basic research scientists and clinicians
on to a common platform and impress upon them the need of their interactions.
This multidisciplinary conference covers a wide range of topics in clinical
as well as basic science research and is designed for clinicians treating
malignant and benign disease/conditions and scientists in clinical and
basic sciences and graduate and post-graduate students in medicine and
biosiciences.
The
role of molecular biology and human genetics in prevention, diagnosis,
treatment and rehabilitation of patients afflicted with debilitating disordres.
The
process(es) involved in translation of valuable research performed in
the laboratory - clinical trials - standard therapy and the problems faced
by the basic scinetist and clinicians.
