| Proteomics
Society –
India is a recently formed forum of the Indian Proteomics community
that has
grown to a critical size in recent years, The formation of the
Proteomics Society
was conceptualized in a meeting
held in
February, 2008 on Current Trends in Proteomics which was attended by
close to
200 proteomics researchers. Meetings and interactions are going to be
important
for this group to build its capability further. The Proteomics group
that had
assembled at the February 2008 meeting underscored the philosophy of
cooperation, collaboration, and education among the fraternity. To
facilitate
these objectives, the structure of Proteomics Society-India, was
developed. The
aims and objectives of the Society are to promote education and
research in
Proteomics by organizing special lecture series, workshops,
discussions, and
facilitating collaborative efforts at various levels – Post graduate
students,
university faculty, research students and young investigators using
proteomics approaches.
The News Letters of the Society will serve as a platform for technical
notes,
meeting reports, international proteomics news, and more. The Society enjoys support
from the
Proteomics scientists, academic organizations as well as corporate
bodies. |
