Molecular Biology (CCMB) is a premier research organization in the
frontier areas of modern biology. CCMB focuses on 3 broad categories of
research - high quality basic research in the frontier areas of modern
biology, research relevant to societal needs, and application-oriented
research in the areas of Biotechnology and Biomedicine, Genetics and
Evolutions, Cell Biology and Development, Molecular Biology,
Biochemistry and Biophysics, and Genomics. CCMB has been declared as a
Centre of Excellence by leading international organizations like
UNESCO, Global Network for Molecular and Cell Biology and the Third
World Academy of Sciences, Italy. It has won several prestigious
international and national awards for its outstanding achievements in
