Animal Holding Area The animal holding area is used to house big cats like the lions, tigers and leopards, used for carrying out experiments or research work. The area comprises of shelter and exercise areas for the animals. Each cage is monitored by a CCTV camera. This area also has a meat room and a dispensary for the animals.

A separate service road from behind the building services the animal cage areas and other infrastructural activities. The exercise areas have been so located that the animals swfing around there could be viewed from the labs and other functional areas.
