Tissue
Culture CCMB has a
start-of-the-art central tissue culture facility. The
main objectives of the facility is to facility provide cell lines to various scientific groups in
CCMB, train CCMB staff and researchers from other organizations in cell culture
techniques, and offers cell lines and its expertise to other scientific organizations in the country.
The facility is well equipped with laminar flow hoods, CO2 incubators, inverted microscopes, programmable freezers, liquid nitrogen storage facility, a cell fusion apparatus and a micromanipulator. Almost 150 different cell lines are at present being maintained in the facility.
More than 300 different cell lines are being maintained
