Research Interests

Our laboratory is interested in studying prokaryotic cell division (cytokinesis) and its regulation using a Gram-negative model bacterium, Escherichia coli K12 and Mycobacterium smegmatis, a surrogate model organism that is used to understand the biology of M. tuberculosis, a human pathogen that causes tuberculosis.
