Brief Bio-data

L S Shashidhara obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Genetics and Plant Breeding) in 1987 at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad. He received his Ph.D. in 1991 from the University of Cambridge, UK. After a period of post-doctoral work at the University of Cambridge, he worked in National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore as a visiting fellow. He joined CCMB in 1995. Since August 2007, he is on deputation at IISER Pune as Professor and Coordinator (Biology).
