Bioinformatics Bioinformaitcs centre (BIC) was started in 1986 as one of the nine Distributed Information Centres (DIC’s) under the programme Biotechnology Information System (BTIS). Its principal objective is to serve as a part of national network providing biological information with focus on Oncogenes, Reproductive Physiology, Cell Transforamtion, Nucleic Acid and Protein sequences. BIC is making significant contribution to modern biological resources at CCMB and other research institutions in and around Hyderabad.
